Gerard J. Cournoyer, 98, of Bristol, RI, passed away on December 10th, 2024, at the R.I Veterans Home. Born on June 16, 1926, in Central Falls, RI to the late Arthur and Blanche (Heon) Cournoyer. He was the husband to the late Alice (Doire) Cournoyer.

He joined the 152nd Fighter Squadron, Hills Grove, Warwick R.I & Dept. Air Force Civil Service in 1948. After 40+ years, retired from both with the rank of Senior Master Seargent. He was a long-standing communicant of St. Matthew’s Church (Holy Spirit Parish) in Central Falls R.I and Volunteered at Camp Ker-Anna doing administration work and bus driving kids to camp.

Gerard is survived by his children Jerry Cournoyer, Annette Cournoyer (Fitz), and Donald Cournoyer, 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was the father to the late Normand Cournoyer and brother to the late Joseph Cournoyer, Theresa LaBounty, Jean Cournoyer and Rita Cournoyer.

Calling Hours will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024, from 9am-11am with a funeral home service starting at 11am at the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave. Lincoln. Burial private. Memorial donations can also be made at Camp Ker Anna, 500 Reservoir Rd. Cumberland, RI.
